Property Management Inspections

If you’re a landlord or property management company that aims to be proactive in the maintenance of their properties, then a property management inspection is for you!

Ideally, units are inspected every six months, and Checkmark offers a complete property management inspection that includes a full customer booking and inspection service as detailed:

  • Inspection booking
  • Conducting inspection
  • Report and pictures
  • Downloading and coordinating information for management and homeowner
Why Have a Property Management Inspection?
Property management inspections identify problems early on, which help the property management company (and homeowner) aware of issues such as plumbing leaks, electrical issues or potential structural deterioration before they become major problems. These issues can then be repaired to avoid further damage and expense, saving money and avoiding headaches. Property management inspections also ensure that drug-grow operations or meth labs don’t exist on the premises, or that substantial damage hasn’t occurred to the property.
The Three Steps of Property Management Inspections

1. Inspection Bookings
Yazi Home Inspection will arrange a convenient day and time for the inspection with the tenant. We may accommodate the tenants’ schedule by conducting inspections on the weekends or after hours to ensure that each unit is assessed.

2. Conducting Inspections
We will review health and safety issues, as well as any mechanical or structural deficiencies. A visual survey of the property for cosmetic damage or drug related offenses will also be part of the inspection. Notes related to each inspection are documented in a report. Inspections typically last for approximately 30-60 minutes.

3. Inspection Report and Pictures
A standardized electronic inspection report will be filled out, clearly documenting the property details, date of the inspection and detailed information and condition regarding:

  • Building exterior
  • Electrical
  • HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Smoke/CO detectors
  • Windows
  • Rooms and stairways

Our inspectors will take digital photographs to illustrate the general condition of the house as well as to identify individual deficiencies that may need attention. Approximately 15 photos of each unit will be taken.
